An important component of patient safety for ME-CFS – in addition to sufficient knowledge of this disease on the part of doctors, billing options and the avoidance of harmful therapies, as well as barrier-free access to medical and social care – is the implementation of patient rights.
In this sense, transparency is an important factor – this includes access to patient records and the ability to identify and correct misdiagnoses.
